Craft Contemporary reveals the potential of craft.
Year End Giving
Thank you for being a member of our community.
We are grateful to have you as a friend and we truly miss you. What this time has illustrated more than ever is craft’s power to bring people together and enrich our daily lives through making and connection to one another. We have been using virtual technology to deliver popular programs including our newest after school program for teens. We are sharing the classroom video learning modules we developed for K-12 students, and people from around the country have attended our virtual gallery tours and art making sessions. Most recently, we orchestrated a jammed-packed two weeks of programming for the fall POTLUCK celebration of ceramics which included artist studio visits, conversations, and workshops—attracting hundreds of participants.
Craft Contemporary relies 100% on donors like you to persist and realize our mission. After cancelling the 2020 Craft Affair Gala & Fundraiser, we are planning to make up our shortfall with a year-end-giving campaign that is a bit different than past years.
Through the generosity of our trustees we have been able to create a matching campaign. For every dollar you donate, we will receive a double match of two dollars. Our goal is to raise $100,000 by February 1, 2021.
Here is your call to action: I ask you to consider a year-end donation to help us continue our work in 2021. Your support makes a tremendous difference in our ability to develop, improve, and grow our vital programs for students, older adults, artists, and everyone in between. Don’t forget--your contribution will be more than doubled!!! Go big.
All of us at Craft Contemporary send our very best wishes to you and your loved ones for a warm, healthy, and safe holiday season.
How You Can Help
While Craft Contemporary is closed to the public, we are still working hard to maintain our space, protect the exhibition within it, and plan future exhibitions and programs for when you return. We are also developing new ways for you to continue to connect, engage, and learn from a distance. Your support means more now than ever in helping us offset the financial impact of these uncertain times and ensure that we are able to continue serving audiences and artists in the future. Thank you for being here and believing in our work – it means so much to us.
Craft at Home
While the museum is closed, we encourage you to stay creatively engaged from your home. Each week we'll be bringing you digital content to deepen your relationship to craft. Follow along with our easy at-home craft projects, tune in to artist talks from the Craft Contemporary archives and stay inspired with our virtual artist studio visits.
Museum Closure COVID-19
We want you to stay healthy and strong. In that interest, Craft Contemporary will be closed to the public effective March 13. This closure includes Craft Contemporary Shop. All upcoming in-person programs and tours will be postponed until further notice.
