Join us for a B.Y.O.C. (Bring-Your-Own-Craft) Zoom, and show us what you’re making. We can share ideas, inspiration, and just craft side-by-side. This month, artist Kazuki Takizawa will start off the program by sharing a bit about his upcoming exhibition, titled ‘Tomoshibi’, and show everyone how to make origami paper cranes. Kazuki has been making hundreds of paper cranes for an installation in his exhibition, and participants will be invited to mail-in some of their paper cranes to add to his artwork. Kazuki’s demonstration will be followed with time for folks to share their own projects moderated by exhibitions curator Holly Jerger.
If you’d like to make paper cranes with Kazuki, please have the following supplies ready:
– Several sheets of 8.5 x 11 inch blank, non-glossy printing paper- A pair of scissors or paper cutter
