What’s on Your Digital Membership Card?
Your Craft Contemporary digital membership card is a handy tool that contains all the essential details about your membership. Here’s what you’ll find:
- Member Level: Your current membership tier (e.g., Individual, Household, Director’s Circle) is clearly displayed.
- Expiration Date: The card shows when your membership is set to expire, so you always know when it’s time to renew.
- Reciprocal Admission Information: If your membership includes reciprocal privileges, the participating museums and organizations are listed right on your card.
- Account Number: Your unique membership ID number is also included for quick reference.
Simply open your digital wallet and tap on your Craft Contemporary membership card to view these details anytime.
How to Download Your Digital Membership Card
To download your card, simply:
- Use your mobile device and use THIS DIRECT LINK to download your card or the QR code below.
- You’ll be prompted to enter your member ID number and last name. Your member ID will be emailed to you upon joining or renewing your membership.
- After entering your details, click the button that says “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Add to Google Wallet,” depending on your device. Your card will be added to your digital wallet.
- Open your digital wallet to ensure your card has been successfully added.
- Tap the menu icon (three dots) in the upper right-hand corner of your digital card to find links and contact information, helping you take full advantage of your membership benefits.

You can select the annual auto-renew option when signing up a new member, renew your membership online, by mail, in person at the museum, or by calling our membership services at 323.937.4230.
Membership benefits are available upon presentation of your digital membership card. Simply show your card at the museum or participating reciprocal organizations.
Upper-Level Memberships, including the Studio and Legacy offer exclusive benefits that truly enrich your connection with Craft Contemporary. These memberships provide unique access to events like intimate behind-the-scenes events, exhibition previews, and special conversations with senior staff.
• Studio ($350): Access to exclusive studio visits, travel, tours, and receptions hosted by the Studio Committee, plus reciprocal admission to over 100+ modern and contemporary art museums nationwide through Mod/Co, 15% discount at The Egg & The Eye Shop, and name recognition in our annual report.
• Legacy ($2,500): All Studio benefits, plus an invitation to the annual The Egg & The Eye Brunch in December, complimentary exhibition catalogs, additional exclusive events, 20% discount at The Egg & The Eye Shop, and name recognition on our inaugural donor wall.
Your support through an Upper-Level Membership is vital to our mission. It allows us to present innovative exhibitions, offer educational programs, and engage the community in meaningful ways. By joining at an Upper-Level, you help sustain the museum’s operations and ensure that we can continue to inspire through craft.
Your member number is located under your name and next to the expiration date on your digital membership card. If you’re having trouble finding it, you can also refer to the membership emails we send, where your member number is included.
Your membership expiration date is displayed on your digital membership card. All memberships are active through the last day of the month indicated on your card. If you have any extensions applied to your membership, this updated expiration date will also be reflected on your digital card.
If you need a new digital membership card, you can re-download it using the link provided in your membership confirmation email.

Yes, you can upgrade your membership at any time. When you upgrade, we will extend your membership expiration date accordingly, ensuring you enjoy your benefits for the full term.
We regularly send updates and newsletters to all active members. If you are not receiving emails, please check your spam folder or ensure that you haven’t unsubscribed from our communications. If the problem persists, contact our membership services to verify your email preferences.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have reduced our production of printed materials. Upcoming events are announced via our bi-monthly e-newsletter, website, and social media. Be sure to check your inbox or visit our website for the latest event information.
No. Members are welcome to visit without making an advance reservation. You can present your digital membership card at the Member Desk in the lobby when you arrive. Otherwise, we are able to look you up in our systems.
No. Memberships are nontransferable, so guests must be accompanied by the member.

Please note that member events adhere to the membership type:
• Maker Members: No guests allowed.
• Community Members: Free admission for 2 adults and 2 guests (any age)
• Studio Members: Free admission for 2 adults and 2 guests (any age)
• Legacy Members: Free admission for 2 adults and 2 guests (any age)
This level provides benefits for two adult cardholders and up to 2 guests of any age; children under 12 always have free museum admission! Please note that this membership is intended for immediate family members only, and there may be a cap on the number of children included to ensure the membership benefits are not extended to friends.
Yes, Craft Contemporary members enjoy reciprocal entry to a wide range of museums across the country, depending on your membership level. For example, members at the Community level and above have access to the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) Association network, which includes over 900 institutions. Members at the Studio level and above have access to The Modern and Contemporary Reciprocal Program (Mod/Co) that offers reciprocal membership to over 100 Modern and Contemporary museums.
Please note that Craft Contemporary is not affiliated with LACMA or other Miracle Mile museums, and membership benefits are not reciprocated between the two museums.
Depending on their membership level, Craft Contemporary members receive a 10%, 15%, or 20% discount on most store merchandise. The discount does not apply to sale items, gift certificates, admission tickets, or membership purchases.
We will notify the recipient of your gift via email within 48 hours of your purchase. If you would like them to be notified at a later date, you may schedule the gift delivery when prompted during checkout. You can schedule a gift up to one month in advance.
First, please have the recipient check their spam folder. If they still haven’t received their welcome email, please contact us, and we will resend it.
We are not able to send membership cards directly to the gift giver. Membership cards will be sent to the gift recipient via email within three weeks of the initial email notification which you are welcomed to share.
The recipient’s email and mailing address are needed to complete a gift membership purchase, to ensure that we can deliver their gift.
We do not offer gift memberships that can be activated at an unspecified later date. All gift memberships must have a specified start date at the time of purchase.
Contact us to check if your prospective gift recipient is already a member. If they are, we can assist you with renewing their membership as a gift.
NEW Membership Tiers FAQs
As our museum continues to grow, we wanted to create a membership program that is simpler to understand, provides greater value, and better reflects our mission. The new structure also allows us to invest more directly in exhibitions, education, artists, and meaningful experiences for our community.
As a thank you for your continued support, all current members will starting receiving their new membership benefits starting August 1 for the remainder of their current membership term. Formerly Individual will receive Maker benefits, Household and Friend will receive Community benefits, Artist’s Circle will receive Studio benefits, and Director’s Circle will receive Legacy benefits.
No. Your membership expiration date remains the same. Your current membership rate is valid through your current membership term.
At renewal, you may select the membership that best aligns with your interests and philanthropic goals. There will be an option to sign up for annual auto-renewal as well.
Yes. Every active member will receive the new benefits at their current rate for the remainder of their current membership cycle, regardless of when they renewed.
Your new benefits will be activated automatically. No additional action is required. If you have any questions about your membership or would like to take advantage of your new benefits, our staff is happy to help.
