Craft Lab: California Poppy Seed Soil Balls

Fall is the perfect time to plant California poppies, and putting the seeds into a soil ball offers the perfect microbiome for poppy seeds to start. You’ll learn more about artists who engage with the land to create their art and have a new appreciation for this brilliant native plant, which can extract heavy metals from the soil after contamination.

Space is limited. Advance tickets are required. All adults and children aged 7 and up must have a ticket to take part in the program.
