Maker Night: Burning Love~ A Mental Health Collage Night with NETA Zine

What does it look like to rebuild after fires? California’s fire followers – the plants that grow in the wake of fires – offer one vision of how to heal.

Join award-winning embroidery artist Jamie Maloney to explore these singular wildflowers through embroidery. You’ll pick a local wildflower that only blooms after fire to stitch and remind you of the ongoing cycle of destruction and rebirth. You’ll walk away from this Maker’s Night with a unique mini-embroidery and a better understanding of the role that wildfires play in California’s natural landscape.

This program will be held outdoors.
