Maker Night: Soil Critter Masks with Planet Earth Observatory

Celebrate the tiny creatures that help keep our soil healthy in this hands-on, creative mask-making workshop with our friends from Planet Earth Observatory! Participants will use cardboard, paint, and other mixed-media materials to build wearable masks inspired by the beneficial soil critters that live beneath our feet—beetles, grubs, rotifers, nematodes, and more. This workshop encourages playful exploration and observation of soil organisms while honoring the vital role they play in healthy gardens and ecosystems, including the life cycles of decomposition, renewal, and transformation of death into new life within the soil food web. 

This program will be held outdoors.
