Weaving with Aneesa Shami Zizzo 

Join us in our new community gallery gathering space to weave with Aneesa Shami Zizzo! We’ll gather on select Sundays to create a collaborative woven rug using frame looms, yarn, and fabric strips. No weaving experience necessary! Whether you’re a pro weaver or picking up a loom for the first time, everyone is welcome to join in. 

The rug will be made up of small woven squares created by visitors, volunteers, staff, and Zizzo ~ each square adding a unique touch to the larger work. The finished rug will be featured in our upcoming Air exhibition, opening in May 2027. Come weave a square, meet fellow crafters, and help bring this artwork to life!
